Every year,in prelims few questions are asked from economic survey .However,this is such a huge document that students find difficult to read and spend too much time on it .
Common mistakes committed while reading Economic Survey:
1.Read the first chapter of the Economic Survey -It is a brief summary of the entire document.It will help you identify
2.In Prelims ,UPSC tests the understanding of the basic economic indicators .Look out for these indicators-
Inflation
Food Inflation
Fiscal deficit
Current A/C deficit
Balance of Payments
Foreign reserves.
Trade balance
IIP
3.Look out for the following changes :
Fall/Rise in the particular economic indicator in that particular year
Cause for the change
4.Box items
The items in the box can carry important information for exam purposes.
5.New schemes
Identify the new schemes and the following about it
